Tom Levy
has worked in photography for many years, originally studying with renouned photographers Gary Winogrand and Michael A. Smith, and at Philadelphia College of
Art in the late sixties. He was
selected as a Fleisher Challenge artist in 1983, has been included in
several local shows featuring the City of Philadelphia and surrounding
environs, and in national competitions from Pennsylvania to Oregon. Photos from his series “The
Color of Pastime,” were the subject of a show at Archetype Gallery running from October 2004 thru February of 2005 which received a very favorable review from Geoff Gehman of the Allentown Morning Call.
A new selection of prints from the series was displayed at Fox Optical and Gallery
in Bethleham, Pa. from June 29 to August 27, 2005, and again in January and February of 2006 at Central Penn College, Summerville, Pa. His work is often seen at Salon Des Amis Gallery in Malvern, Pa.
